Meet Our New Recruits

James Cox, Chief Technology Officer 

James Cox joins us as CTO, bringing over 20 years of experience in the gaming arena. With stops at big-league names like NaturalMotion (Zynga), PlayStation, Lockwood Publishing, and Konami, James knows how to lead from the front. Most recently, he was Senior Director of Engineering at NaturalMotion where he ran the Shooter Studio team behind Star Wars: Hunters, delivering on iOS, Android, and Nintendo Switch. Before that, he managed a team of 110 at Lockwood Publishing for Avakin Life, a global hit with millions of monthly players. James’ deep know-how and leadership will be key as we power up our tech and push the game forward. 

Nicholas Harker, Frontend Unity Developer 

Nicholas is stepping in as our Frontend Unity Developer, focusing on gameplay and UI features that keep players hooked. Previously at Freejam, creators of Robocraft, Nicholas is keen to leverage his experience and in-depth knowledge of Unity's toolset to create exciting new gameplay and user interface systems for Touchdown Poker. He’s worked on four games released on Steam, turning his hobby into a career since 2022 after studying games technology at uni. Fun fact: he sometimes pair programs with his tuxedo cat Barnaby, though it’s mostly Nicholas doing the heavy lifting.
